With a 30‐year stage career, David Bursztein as an actor has played with some of the most respected theatrical institutions of France, such as La Comedie Francaise, L’Odeon, Theatre De L’Europe, and Le Theatre National Populaire (TNP). In addition, he has performed in prestigious places such as Le Festival D’Avignon, Le Theatre de la Ville à Paris, Le Theatre de La Coline, Le Theatre de Chaillot, La MC 93, among others. He has performed in countless theatrical plays, was awarded multiple “Moliere” prizes and has acted in movies alongside some of the best known and respected French actors such as Maria Casares, Michel Piccoli, Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Béart, Kristine Scott Thomas to name a few.
In 1991 David Bursztein was recognized for his substantial role in the movie La Belle Noiseuse by Jacques Rivette, which was awarded the Gold Palm at the Cannes Film Festival.
In 1995, during a Boris Vian play directed by Laurent Pelli, David played with an orchestra hired for that occasion, and from this encounter a CD was recorded. The orchestra became attached to this particular music and Life is Not a Picnic was born.
